A native of Miami, Florida, Alekos Syropoulos has become internationally known for his contributions as a jazz saxophonist, keyboardist, composer, and producer.
Over the course of his musical career, Alekos has performed and recorded with Sensae, DUX, JMSN, Desi Valentine, Vulfpeck, Mac Miller, Kamran & Hooman, Paul Castelluzzo, Hollawell, Dave Yaden, Cobi, Kerry Marshall Jr., WILDCAT WILDCAT, Western Standard Time Ska Orchestra, Raquel Rodriguez, Sammy Miller & The Congregation, Ruslan Sirota, The Buddy Rich Big Band, Barbara Morrison, Madelyn Grant, Robert Hurst, and The Macpodz
In 2015, Alekos was the runner up in the International Vandoren Emerging Artists Competition as a jazz saxophonist and in 2012, he was selected by Jeff Coffin as the winner of the Yamaha Young Performing Artist Competition as a jazz saxophonist.
Alekos currently performs, writes, and produces with his Los Angeles based band, Sensae, and electronic music producer, DUX. He additionally teaches woodwinds on faculty at the South Pasadena Music Conservatory.
In December of 2017, he was featured as a soloist on Steve Harvey's new NBC special STEVE, performing a live arrangement of Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin On" with Stan Taylor.
