Baron Raymonde

The Sax Baron

Baron Raymonde, saxophonist, was born in New York City. By age six, he was studying piano with Emile Del Terzo at Carnegie Hall Studios before taking up the saxophone at age nine. After leaving college in 1984, he went on tour with Matt “Guitar" Murphy of The Blues Brothers for 11 years, and played on Murphy's album The Blues Don't Bother Me. He has performed with many artists, notably as featured sax player with Rod Stewart on his Human Tour and on India Arie’s Grammy-winning album Voyage To IndiaBaron most recently was inducted to the New York Blues Hall of Fame at BB Kings in NYC.
