Jazz Saxophonist Phil Woods has been writing music using a computer for 15 years, ever since the creation of Music Printer Plus, one of the first music writing programs. His computer still contains thousands of pieces, charts, tunes, and more that he is currently updating to work with new-age equipment that he thinks will represent a giant leap for composers. Woods has grand plans to make all 50 years of his creative output completely available in digital media. He recently was honored by the National Endowment for the Arts with the prestigious Jazz Masters Fellowship Award. To learn more about Phil Woods, visit philwoods.com
