Hi everybody, I’m Boris Allakhverdyan and I’m happy to be back at Vandoren today. Today, we’re going to talk a little bit about the new BD5 Black Diamond mouthpiece.
I’ve been playing on this mouthpiece for about a year now and I absolutely love it. I play Vandoren V12 #4 reeds with this mouthpiece. The BD5 is a great asset to use in orchestra, solo recitals, as well as playing some chamber music—it’s great for all three categories. It creates a wonderful blend with other instruments in the orchestra, especially with woodwind instruments. This mouthpiece helps me to create a beautiful, rich tone, with a crisp articulation and great intonation. The BD5 is a real diamond that will make your playing shine!
