DANSR, inc. – the U.S. importer of Vandoren woodwind products and Denis Wick brasswind products – seeks a student with a strong background in wind performance, music education, or business/music business, for a position in the internship program as a marketing assistant in our corporate offices in Champaign, IL.
OVERVIEW
The intern program is designed to provide hands-on experiences in day to day marketing tasks. Tasks will include market research, advertising analysis, participation in marketing meetings, e-marketing and other related tasks. Through these tasks the intern will develop an understanding for the role marketing plays in the overall function of a corporation.
EXPERIENCE
Applicants should be recent graduates or completing their senior year of college, with a major in music performance, business, music business, or a combination thereof. The applicant should possess a superior academic record, be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, be a creative problem-solver with good people skills and possess the ability to be flexible in a wide variety of settings. Candidates should also have a solid working knowledge of computers, with experience in Microsoft Word™ and Excel™.
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
Compensation for this position is $1,000 per month. The intern is responsible for all tax liability. There is no additional housing stipend. Hours of operation are 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday, the expectation is for a 30-hour work week, and exact hours will be discussed at the beginning of the internship.
