Conversations in New York Chapter 2: The Auditions
The New York Philharmonic estimates that Stanley Drucker has performed in 10,200 concerts over his sixty year career with the orchestra; a Guinness world record for longest career as a clarinetist. Mitchell Estrin, a former student of Drucker and former member of the New York Philharmonic, sat down to chat with Stanley for this second installment of the Vandoren series, Conversations in New York. In chapter two, they talk about Stanley’s early audition experiences after school and his time in the Indianapolis Symphony and Buffalo Philharmonic.
